Well even though im a broadcast production  focus within the college of communication, im apparently joining the advertising club lol. Actually im really just building a website for them http://beta.l337-coffee.com is the test site for it. Im using joomla to build it and use the templates. im not very good with joomla and failed in the past with it but the people at http://www.icediguana.com/ helping me here n there, i should be able to get it done this time. Joomla is a really nice power tool but a little confusing on what module does what, etc. Theres also a facebook event tonight for people going to the $2 theater lol. its really kinda pointless to make an event for it but it should be a good sized group. now if only i could get my excel practice assignments done and my feature story completed by thursday >_< .

ok so basically, leeroy wipes his entire party because he ran in and “leeroyed” the entire party. He was crazy to run into the room and pop all the eggs.

Now consider life. When was the last time we did something crazy? When was the last time God told us to do something crazy His glory but we said, “meh im fine right here.” You may say to yourselve, “thats never happened,” but what about those times when you felt you really should talk to someone standing accross the street but ignored them? The person at church who looks new but they seem fine so theres no need to talk to them? When was the last time we really stepped out to show Gods love to others?

What if PALS (the guild from the leeroy WoW video), was really God? what if PALS said, “this should never work, but we’re gonna do it anyways because it has a long term ramification,” and leeroy ran in, and God pwned the entire room. Philipians 4:13 “I can do everything through him who gives me strength.”

Why is it dificult for us to take these steps in faith? Matthew 21:18-22, “Early in the morning, as he was on his way back to the city, he was hungry. 19Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it, “May you never bear fruit again!” Immediately the tree withered.

20When the disciples saw this, they were amazed. “How did the fig tree wither so quickly?” they asked.

21Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done. 22If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”

He was able to take the step, but that was for his father. In turn, why cant we do this for our heavenly father?

Mark 10:13-15 ” 13And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.

14But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

Jesus used the term “verily.” In other places he says “verily verily i tell you the truth,” as a more emphasis on his meaning, yet in regards to taking the steps of faith we need to, we need to know that this is a fact.

Fact is defined as: “Knowledge or information based on real occurrences.” Now when we’re younger, if our mom or dad tells us to not cross the street without looking both ways or we’ll get turned into tomato soup, isnt that a fact? if our parents tell us to wash the dishes or else, isnt this a truth? If our parents say if we dont get to bed soon santa wont come, isnt that a fact?

Luke 11:11-13 “Which of you fathers, if your son asks for[a] a fish, will give him a snake instead? 12Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? 13If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

This is also a fact.

in light of the above, let us take crazy steps and actions. Let us take steps knowing God has our back. We dont play by the rules of earth, we play by Gods rules, and he has the big picture. Isaiah 55:8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD.” Let us be freaks for Christ and take those steps and leeroy without a second thought, having the security of God behind us when we are walking in the spirit with our heavenly Father.

Ok so i get vista 64bit business edition free through my school…………… so yeah i figured i’d try it. nuked my xp and then installed it onto that partition. i now have to use EASYBCD to add my ubuntu install into the boot loader which is fine, but overall, its kinda nice to have something shiney to play with. thats really all it is, shiny. Alot of times i feel like im generally using ubuntu and then i realize i dont have my cube >_< . but thats ok. so far games work fine, my sound needed a new driver vista specific from realtek ac'97, but otherwise no problems whatsoever. i like my facebook gadget though.... >.> . the only gay part is my ruckus media player only allows 2 machines to work at a time, and u can only switch to a new machine 1x at a time every 30 days….. so i dont have 3/4 of my music accessible to me but oh well, just have to listen to like… http://www.pandora.com/ which works pretty well. so yeah vista isnt as bad as everyone thinks. shoot the major thing i noticed is network resource management works like 100x better and is actually faster and so is anything off a USB device runs/transfers much faster, kinda like what it does in linux

well, im retaking a media writing class that sucks…. really badly. and apparently even though ive taken it 1x before, its still hasnt helped me. ive gotten more consistant C’s (which doesnt help because i need a C+ average to pass) i guess and i havent failed anything yet but i really need to improve and do better to pass. if i dont pass then i’ll have to skip nationals for skillsusa to take the summer class or get special permission to take this class again during the fall -_- . this class has been the gayest experience yet at college and its really kinda discouraging when u get there 2 hours every day to practice and read and buy extra books to read and learn and you still dont improve or get better grades in it. so please pray for me as i try and pass this class, along with everything else in life. lately ive been really home sick for my old friends, hangouts, food, etc. The people here are kool in all, but im some ways i still struggle to fit in as a passionate gamer/geek.

Im not bringing AMd into this because its a even odder match up in power and i dont have clear ghz or benchmarks to work with.

People also need to understand that eventually as consumers we run out of money at some point when developers keep producing too fast (in other things) that we cant always upgrade or a buy a new pc, cell phone, blackberry, iphone, HDTV, etc every time a new one comes out. People say we’re hitting a recession, but honestly we’re just running out of money to pay for the development and research of these new items. Starbucks is trying to refocus and slow down to do better and i hope other corporations will fall in line too.

Afghan Women Protest Aid Worker’s Kidnapping

KANDAHAR, Afghanistan — About 500 Afghan women gathered Tuesday in this southern city to protest the kidnapping of an American aid worker and her Afghan driver and to call for her release.

The kidnapped woman, Cyd Mizell, 49, works for the Asian Rural Life Development Foundation and was seized Saturday on her way to work in Kandahar, along with her driver, Abdul Hadi. Afghan officials said that they had no leads on who abducted them and that there had not been any contact with the kidnappers or demands by them.

In a strong show of support for Ms. Mizell, who has lived in Kandahar for six years, working on educational projects and women’s development, Afghan women’s associations called in speeches for officials, elders, ordinary citizens and young people to work for her release.

“This is against Islam, this is against Afghan culture, particularly against Kandahari custom, a woman’s abduction,” said the director of women’s affairs in Kandahar, Runa Tareen.

“Cydney Mizell was here to help Afghan women. She was living here and was proud and confident that Afghans have a nice culture that does not harm women.”

Soraya Barna, a member of the provincial council of Kandahar, said: “We are so sad and we want her to be released as soon as possible. We want officials and others to multiply their struggle to find her soon and hope she will be back safely.”

WOMEN HAVE RIGHTS IN AFGHANISTAN! For the first time in only God knows when, people in iraq and afghanistan have rights.

Ok so basically ya false alarm on the dating thing. And i think there were alot of things that kinda came with it that God wanted to do/teach. More or less, i’ve learned how to really seek God on issues and how to listen and thats something ive really wanted to work on this year overall. Also i learned how much of a lier and schemer i had become dating starr and that whole situation. I was constantly lieing and running away from consequences and scheming new ways to run and i almost schemed to run away last friday but with some help of a friend i was able to finally stand up and face mistakes, assumptions, and life head on, as awkward and as retarded i felt. on that note i think it was good to have this last 2 weeks of distract since starr has e-mailed me 2x and talekd to my folks and honestly, im not sure i would have been able to stand my ground and stay away if i didt have this distraction.

So all in all, i dont have a gf, but a decent friend, and a week of growth, i can live with that
